The Russian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday revoked the accreditation of ORF Moscow head Carola Schneider. The Austrian Foreign Ministry has protested the decision, calling it "unprecedented" and a "hostile act." ORF director general Roland Weißmann condemned the move as "unacceptable" and said it was "an attack on freedom of the press." Carola Schneider has been head of the ORF office in Moscow since 2011.
